Mojtaba Mirshekari (Moji) is a Los Angeles-based editor. He is a member of the “Motion Picture Editor’s Guild, IATSE Local 700”. He is best known for editing When the Sun Sets (2021), which was on the shortlist of the Academy Awards (Oscars) in the best live-action short film category, nominated for a BAFTA award, and was distributed by HBO after winning their award from American Black Film Festival. He edited the second season of the TV series “Wicked City” for AMC network, which is available to watch on ALLBLK. Mojtaba started his career in his home country, Iran, where he wrote and directed his first short film, Blackout (2016), edited several short films, and obtained his master’s degree in Cinema Studies. He moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and earned his second master’s degree in Film Production with emphasis on editing. Since then, he edited several award-winning projects, including Features, TV series, and short films.
